Ladies Division 1 – Avenue 1 losing draw v Chichester 1 (2-2) – Katie Rowley, Viola Masona, Vicki White, Jenny Smith

We kicked off our winter season with an away trip to Chichester. Chichester always finish near the top of the league, so we knew it would be a tough start. Our ladies gave it their all and came away with a losing draw – a great result against a strong Chichester team. Anna Newman
Mixed Division 3 – Avenue 3 beat Seacourt (3-1) – Zoe Larkin, Dawn Wears, David Parvinmehr, Paul Whittenham (see team photo)

Avenue Mixed 3s kicked off their winter campaign with a gritty 3-1 away victory against Seacourt, battling through drizzle, humidity, and tough opposition. Paul and Zoe proved a dynamic duo, with Paul covering the court like a man half his age, while Dawn and Dave sealed the deal in style — clinching a tense third-set tie-break in the final rubber. With fighting spirit and strong performances across the board, it was a brilliant start to the season for the Avenue! Zoe Larkin

Ladies Division 2 – Avenue beat Newman Collard A (5-3) – Alison Clarke, Sarah Long, Caron Howe, Denise Wears
