Ladies Division 1 – Avenue 2 lost to Ryde Mead (1-3) – Vicki White, Debbie Berry, Sarah Long, Alison Clarke

Ladies Masters Division 3 – Avenue 2 winning draw v Fishbourne (2-2) – Caron Howe, Dawn Wears, Denise Simper, Katherine Arnold

Match report

Yet another very tough match against Fishbourne – Caron/Dawn and Denise/Katherine played extremely well, considering how strong the wind was coupled with the noise from the passing trains!!  Final score 2 rubbers all,  4 sets all and we managed 32 games against their 28. Well done team! Jenny Ward

Mens O55s Division 2 – Avenue 1 lost to Lyndhurst 1 (2-6) – Phil Broad, Ian Holt, Simon Hughes, Ian Marks

Mens O55s Division 3 – Avenue 3 lost to Alverstoke 1 (0-4) – Stew Wiles, Mark Fullstone, Robert Haines, Mike Smith

Match report

Alverstoke were the stronger team and handled the windy conditions better than us. Stew Wiles

East Hants Summer League

Mixed Division 3 – Avenue beat Medstead B (7-1) – Alison Clarke, Denise Simper, Adam Tolmie, David Parvinmehr

Match report

We had our first match of the Summer season against Medstead last night. After flying home yesterday, I drove over to watch with Sarah. Great match, really good standard, but our team, David P, Adam, Alison and Denise were better. They played so well and we won 7-1. Fab start to the season. Dawn Wears
