Match report
Undeterred by the prospect of travel, the Avenue quadrumvirate made the pilgrimage to Lee-on-the-Solent and returned laden with victory, having claimed the points in convincing fashion. The team faced determined resistance from a spirited Lee side but ultimately emerged victorious by three rubbers to one. The final reckoning saw Avenue triumph by seven sets to three, amassing an impressive 43 games along the way. Match report
The Mixed 5s put up a valiant fight against Southsea 2 on Saturday. Two of the team had never played a match before, yet Andrew and Tina managed to win 1 match 2-0 and Ben and Chloe came very close, losing a match in their tie-break 9-11. There were some wonderful rallies and the team should be proud of their achievements. Billie Shamash

We played out our 4th draw of the season against Alverstoke at home on Monday night. Both pairs won against the Alverstoke second pair but their first pair were just a class above. Stew Wiles
