Chairman - Binky Hallett
I have been a full squash member at The Avenue LTS&FC since 1981 (37 years and played in the Ladies Squash team for all that time. My role includes chairing meetings and working with the other officers of the club on all areas of club management and driving club development.
Honorary Secretary - Jenny Morris
I became a member at the Avenue LTS&FC shortly after my move to Emsworth at the end of 2016. I am a keen tennis player and have always been happy to support the Club. In 2018 I was elected as Assistant Treasurer and when the post of Honorary Secretary became available in the summer, I agreed to take it on. My background in environmental health policy and practice allows me to give expert advice to the Club on risk and risk management.
The role of Honorary Secretary involves:
- Overseeing the work of the Office manager and Office staff
- Supporting the work of the Office e.g. through production of policies and risk assessments
- Liaising with Havant Council and similar bodies on Club matters, where necessary
- Working with the Management Committee to provide for the smooth running of the Club and to identify opportunities for future improvement
Hon Assistant Secretary - Andy Franklin
Andy has been a keen squash member at the Avenue for around ten years and has captained one of the Men's Squash teams for the last four years. More recently, he volunteered for the post of Club's Honorary Assistant Secretary for which he has been contributing since March 2017.
Honorary Treasurer - Richard Ainscow
I am a Chartered Accountant, working for many years in the financial management of multinationals and mid–tier UK companies.
As your Club Treasurer, co-opted in September 2017, my primary responsibility is to safeguard the Club assets, manage its liabilities and ensure proper financial controls and budgets are in place over the collection of revenues and the paying out of costs and overheads.
I have been an active tennis playing member at the Avenue for over 20 years having previously played at Birkdale, Putney and Ealing LTC’s.
Honorary Assistant Treasurer - (Vacant)
House - Robin Reucroft
I have been a Tennis and Gym member for 5 years and a House committee member Since February 2016.
My Role is to monitor the maintenance programme of club house. Assist committee to obtain quotes and appoint contractors for projects and repairs to club house.

Social - Sue Sparshatt
I moved to Southleigh Road in 1983 and joined the club after a year or so. I soon became involved helping with events when we held annual international tournaments and members hosted visiting players.
After a few years I left due to working commitments and rejoined about ten years ago and was invited to join the House, Bar, Social Committee. Over the years I have organised a variety of different functions to raise funds for the club and offer some enjoyable parties for members. For example we have had Christmas Dinner dances with disco or live music, Caribbean Parties, Quiz Nights, fancy dress parties, a Hallowe’en Party, Exhibition dancing evenings, James Bond Evening. I have provided food for many occasions and still do for Quiz evenings and other small events.

Tennis - Honorary Tennis Secretary - Mike Colbourne
I am Naval Architect by profession, and spent my whole career working for the Ministry of Defence (Navy) retiring 12 years ago.
I joined The Avenue in 1992 as a squash and fitness member but moved away from the area in 1996. Re-joined The Avenue as a tennis player in 2009 and appointed Tennis Secretary in June 2012 and onto Management Committee later that year.
I have both chaired and been an active member of The Avenue Development committee and in 2017 part of selection committee for the appointment of the Club’s new Head Tennis Coach.
