LTA Summer County Cup

The LTA’s Summer County Cup event – commonly know as ‘County Week’ is possibly the oldest tennis event on the domestic calendar, dating back as far as 1895.

44 counties across the nation are divided into groups based on their results of the previous year’s event with Group 1 being the ‘premier league’. Teams compete against each other over a week to see which team comes out as champions.

2024 sees The Avenue hosting ladies Group 4 Women’s event with the following counties competing at the club: Lincolnshire, Berkshire, Sussex, West of Scotland, North Wales and Cambridgeshire.

Play begins at 10.30am, by which time catering facilities will be underway and our outstanding bar will also be open from midday.
